How a game works
One player creates the room and sends the link to the others. Everyone sees their word on their own screen, without showing it. Taking turns, each player writes a clue of up to 50 characters, related to their word without writing it. After two rounds of clues, everyone votes in secret for the player they think has the different word. If there is a tie, a deciding vote follows; if it is still a tie, nobody is eliminated and the Undercover wins.
How to win
If the group eliminates the Undercover, the group wins. If the Undercover survives the vote, they win. The catch: the Undercover only sees their own word and does not know it is different. Since the two words are close (two sports anime, two monster-collecting sagas, two characters with similar roles), their clues sound right at first.
Why an online room
No need to be in the same place: everyone follows the game on their phone, clues and votes happen on screen, and the room has its own chat for some banter. It works great on Discord or a video call, and just as well around a table.
More group games
Undrawcover is the drawing version: each player adds a stroke to a shared drawing, and the impostor does not know the word. The KODŌ Tournament chains seven rounds, including a round of Undercover, for 2 to 10 players.

Frequently asked questions
How many players do I need?
From 3 to 10. With 3 or 4 players, games are quick; from 6 players up, the Undercover has more room to hide.
Do I need an account?
Yes, a free account, to create or join a private room. The solo games can be played without one.
How is it different from classic Undercover?
All the words come from anime: series titles and characters. There is a single Undercover, and the whole game is played online with a secret vote.
Can I play in English?
Yes. KODŌ is available in English and French, words included.
